This policy explains how VibCall uses cookies and similar technologies (like local storage) on the website and in the 1-on-1 video chat product. It sits alongside our privacy policy, which covers the wider picture of what data VibCall collects and why.
1. What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files a website asks your browser to store, so it can recognize the same browser when it comes back. Similar technologies — local storage, session storage — do the same job with a different mechanism. On this page, "cookies" covers all of them. VibCall keeps the list short on purpose: most visitors never create an account, so there is very little for cookies to remember. If you've read a cookie policy on a bigger site, expect this one to feel short — that's the product showing through, not anything left out.
2. Essential Cookies
These keep the product working and can't be switched off from our side — there's no toggle for them because the site fails without them. They cover things like keeping a session alive while you start a 1-on-1 video chat, so a page refresh mid-queue doesn't cost you your place; running the security and abuse-prevention checks that keep bots out of the matching pool; and remembering that your browser already acknowledged an in-site notice, so it doesn't show again on every visit. Because VibCall requires no sign-up to start matching, most visitors carry no login cookie at all — essential here means "the site breaks without it," nothing more. They're short-lived by design: session cookies expire when you close the browser, and the rest last only as long as the job they do.
3. Preference Cookies
These remember choices you made so you don't have to repeat them — interface or language preferences, and small bits of state like "already read this notice," so first-visit explanations don't follow you around. Preferences live in your browser, not in an account: trying VibCall needs no registration, so they travel with the browser you used, not with a profile. The product works without them; you just lose the convenience of the site remembering you. Expect them to outlast a single visit — weeks rather than minutes, since that's the point of them — and clearing your cookies or site data wipes them clean.
4. Analytics Cookies
These tell us, in aggregate, how people use the site — which pages get visited, where errors happen, what devices and browsers show up. A typical record looks like "someone on a phone spent two minutes on the features page," not a profile of you as a person. The point is spotting what's confusing or broken, not profiling individuals. Analytics cookies run when the page loads — VibCall doesn't put a separate opt-in banner in front of them. If you'd rather not be counted, block or clear them in your browser settings (section 6 below covers how); nothing about matching breaks when you do.
5. Third-Party Cookies
Some providers that run parts of VibCall may set or read their own cookies while delivering their service. The moments this can come up are ordinary infrastructure work: the hosting or content-delivery network serving the page, the font and script files loading with it, the video infrastructure carrying a 1-on-1 video chat, the payment processor if you buy coins, and the analytics tooling measuring aggregate traffic. Their use of cookies is governed by their own policies and their agreements with us, not by this page. VibCall does not set advertising cookies, and no ad network gets a cookie slot here.
6. How to Control or Disable Cookies
Every modern browser lets you view, block, or delete cookies — usually under privacy or site settings — and most let you clear them for a single site. In Chrome, look under Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies; in Safari, under Settings → Privacy; in Firefox, under Settings → Privacy & Security. Mobile browsers carry the same options under their settings menus. Blocking preference and analytics cookies costs you nothing noticeable. Blocking essential cookies can break session continuity and matching, so expect a degraded product if you go that far. Questions about a specific cookie? Ask VibCall support and we'll tell you what it does.
7. Changes to This Cookie Policy
This page changes when the cookies do — new technology, new providers, new legal requirements. When it does, the "Last updated" date at the top moves. Continued use of VibCall after an update takes effect means you accept the revised policy.
8. Contact VibCall About Cookies
Cookie questions go to support[at]vibcall.com — retype the [at] as a normal @; it's written that way to keep address-harvesting bots off it.
VibCall Cookie FAQ
Does VibCall use cookies to track me across other websites?
No. VibCall's cookies exist to run this site — keeping a session alive, remembering your choices, and understanding aggregate usage. They are not used to follow you around the web or build an advertising profile of you.
Can I use VibCall with cookies disabled?
You can block or clear cookies anytime in your browser settings. Just know that blocking the essential kind can break session continuity and matching — the product genuinely needs those to work. Preference and analytics cookies can go without affecting your chats.
Does VibCall set advertising cookies?
No advertising or cross-site marketing cookies are set by VibCall. The three categories on this page — essential, preference, analytics — are the complete list of cookies VibCall itself sets. Providers that power parts of the site, like hosting or video infrastructure, may set their own cookies under their own policies (section 5 covers that), but none of them is an ad network.
